Problems?

This clever idea is from Pamela McKirdy, Library Assistant at Wellington East Girls' College. She changed a photo to grayscale then upped the contrast so it turned black and white. Then she copied it on to different coloured paper. It's a very dramatic effect and could be used with any photo. Thanks Pamela.

Help Yourself

We have a number of self-help books covering subjects such as healthy eating, self esteem, teenage stress, assertiveness, fitness and excercise etc. This display pulls them all together. I promoted this area of the collection a couple of years ago and it really got the books moving off the shelves again.
The display was very quick to do - the butler's tray was from 'Google Images'

This book is the written by Kimberly Kirberger - the co-author of the 'Chicken Soup for Teenage Soul' books. She addresses the topics of body-image and self acceptance. Click on the picture for more details.
