New & True

By Elaine Pearson

Possibly the most boring display you will ever see, but, hey, I only had an hour!
I think the students will welcome seeing some of our new true stories together in a display as they are normally shelved in different places all over the library.
The letters were printed from a great little site called Woo!

Get carried away with books

By Fran Karmann

Thanks Fran for this fabulous display. Here is Carl from the movie 'Up' who turns his house into an airship by tying it to thousands of balloons to fulfill his dream to see the wilds of South America. In Fran's display Carl is gets 'Carried away by books'. He is accompanied by Russell who is also part of the display:

Spring is here: come and have a look at our fresh new books!

By Barb Edwards
Barb is a Senior Library Technician at Walton Library at Methodist Ladies' College in Victoria, Australia.
Welcome to the Blog Barb and thanks for sending us three of your stunning displays.
Spring is here - come and have a look at our fresh new books
Barb has made a lovely wild flower background and hung daisies in the foreground to create dimension and interest. On the right are piles of her lovely new books which I'm sure the students can't wait to get their hands on!
Do double click on the picture to see it in more detail.

We're Blooming with New Books

By Stephanie Trzeciakiewicz

Stephanie regularly supports this Blog by contributing some great ideas for displays.
Here's another lovely idea which fits with Spring so well - thanks again Stephanie!
Here are her comments:
'We had recently gotten in a huge shipment of new books and I wanted to let the students/staff know about them. I designed this bulletin board for the hallway to get the message out there. The headline reads “We’re Blooming With New Books.” My goal was to have it look as if a first grader had drawn it…very simplistic'.
