ANZAC Day 2015

By Gabrielle Karsai

Thanks to Gabrielle, from Parramatta NSW, for sharing her 2015 ANZAC display. It has a personal touch this year with an emphasis on how war has affected families within the school community. She particularly focused on the written word and the importance of letters, both for the person far from their loved ones and for those waiting at home.
I'm sure it was extremely interesting and informative for all involved.

ANZAC Day

By Sally

I just love this clever display by Sally from Christchurch, New Zealand.
It was a joint effort with students and members of the public - a great way to bring the joint (school & public) community together. The poppies are all knitted, crocheted, or sewn.
I bet it has a huge impact on everyone who sees it, it's really impressive!
Well done Sally and thanks for sharing it.

ANZAC Day

By Eileen Barnett
Another bright display for Anzac Day from Eileen Barnett (Menzies College). I like the poppies and it is nice to know that the pupils took part in making them. Thanks Eileen.

ANZAC Day

By Gaby Karsai
Gaby has also sent in this photo of the ANZAC display she did last year. She emailed school staff and asked them to contribute any personal memorabilia pertaining to family who were involved in any of the wars and was overwhelmed by the response as you can see from the display. They even had a uniform from WW1.
This approach to the display makes it particularly pertinent and interesting to the school commumnity. Thanks for sharing your ideas Gaby.
